The movement inside the Chopard L.U.C Tech Strike One is the Caliber 96 SHT, which features the distinctive Chopard 22K gold microrotor, and the L.U.C "Twin" system of two stacked mainspring barrels that assure a power reserve of 65 hours.  Equipped with a balance that alternates at a pace of 28,800 beats per hour, the 96 SHT is a precise performer, which has earned a chronometer certificate from the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC).  In addition to the hour-striking complication which can be turned on or off via the pushpiece at 10 o'clock, the watch also presents a date display and a rotating small seconds disc.  The elaborate finishing of this movement includes circular graining on the mainplate and bridges with Cotes de Geneve and chamfered edges.  A sapphire crystal exhibition window in the caseback grants a full view of these aesthetic refinements.
